July.

Many times I think July is a point where people realize the year is over halfway done. Many see it as motivation to continue to work hard towards the goals they set for themselves, while others see it as a point where aiming for their goals seems now pointless and feel it’s better to “start over” again next year. However you may feel, working on your goals and trying to improve the quality of your life is not something that needs a timeline or a new year to begin; it is something you should constantly be trying to better. You are the greatest project you will ever work on, and when all is said and done, you are the only one who will always be with yourself. If you don’t aim to give yourself the best life you possibly can, how can you expect others to?

With that being said, you are human; you shouldn’t be pushing yourself to your absolute limit day after day. I’m not saying you need to be waking up every day at 4 am, running 8 miles, completing 11 hours of hard, intense work, and constantly being in survival mode. What makes your life so special is that it is YOUR life. Not anyone else’s. Whatever your best self and life look like to you, that is how you should be striving to live your life. The important part is that you are trying to do the best for yourself, no matter what that looks like. So, with July, aim to do that. Maybe set a new goal, try a new hobby, continue to work on a passion project, or pick up an old one. But no matter what it is, give yourself grace, because no matter what, you are doing the best you can:)
